Clarke holds the luminous insect on her hand, savoring the moments before it ultimately flies away. “You sure you don’t want to hold it?”

This isn’t the unusual kind of response she gets nowadays, but Clarke still can’t help but feel tired when it happens. How many times is she going to be reminded of how horrible of a person she is? She already knows, and the constant reminders are beginning to wear on her. Regardless, she gives the other woman a small smile and slowly raises her hands in defense.
